Shri Harsiddhi Maa Temple of Ujjain Madhya Padesh is one of the ancient temples of India and it is the 13th Shaktipeeth among the 51 Shaktipeeths of Mata Sati. From the pages of history it is revealed that Maa Harsiddhi devi was the supreme deity for Samrat Vikramaditya and the devi is also known by the name ‘Mangalchandiki’ in the ancient times. Harsiddhi Shaktipeeth of Ujjain is a big source of energy and power.The festival of Navratri is celebrated here with great splendour and belief. Many lamps and candles (Diyas) are flamed which create a tremendous and divine scene.

उज्जैन, मध्य प्रदेश का श्री हरसिद्धि माँ मंदिर भारत के प्राचीन मंदिरो में से एक है और यह माता सती के 51 शक्तिपीठों में से 13 वां शक्तिपीठ है। इतिहास के पन्नों से यह पता चलता है कि मां हरसिद्धि देवी, सम्राट विक्रमादित्य के लिए सर्वोच्च देवी थी और प्राचीन समय में मां हरसिद्धि देवी मंगलचंदिकी नाम से जानी जाती थीं। उज्जैन का हरसिद्धि शक्तिपीठ ऊर्जा और शक्ति का एक बड़ा स्रोत है। । नवरात्रि का त्यौहार यहाँ बहुत ही भव्यता के साथ मनाया जाता है। कई दीपक और मोमबत्तियाँ धधकती हैं जो एक जबरदस्त और दिव्य दृश्य बनाती हैं।

Temple Story

King Vikramaditya used to worship Devi Harsiddhi and dedicated his head around eleven times in the feet of Maa Harsiddhi but the divine mother again brought him to life. Vikramaditya was a legendary emperor of ancient India. Often characterized as an ideal king, he is known for his generosity, courage, and patronage of scholars.The main temple was located at the top of the hill facing the sea. It is believed that Lord Krishna worshipped her during his lifetime. He prayed Amba Mata to get power to kill asuras. After defeating the asuras, Lord Krishna built the temple. When asura Jarasandha was killed, all Yadavas celebrated their success here. Hence this temple is called Harshad Mata or Harsiddhi Mata.

राजा विक्रमादित्य देवी हरसिद्धि की पूजा करते थे और उन्होंने लगभग ग्यारह बार अपना सिर माँ हरसिद्धि के चरणों में समर्पित किया था, लेकिन दिव्य माँ ने उन्हें पुनर्जीवित कर दिया। विक्रमादित्य प्राचीन भारत के एक महान सम्राट थे। अक्सर उन्हें एक आदर्श राजा के रूप में जाना जाता है । वह अपनी उदारता, साहस और विद्वानों के संरक्षण के लिए जाने जाते हैं। मुख्य मंदिर समुद्र की ओर स्थित पहाड़ी की चोटी पर स्थित था। ऐसा माना जाता है कि भगवान कृष्ण ने अपने जीवनकाल में देवी हरसिद्धि की पूजा की थी । कोपला डूंगर नाम की पहाड़ी पर रहने वाले लोगों ने असुरों को मारने की शक्ति प्राप्त करने के लिए अम्बा माता से प्रार्थना की। असुरों को हराने के बाद मंदिर का निर्माण किया गया। जब जरासंध असुर मारा गया, तो सभी यादव अति प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने अपनी सफलता का जश्न यहां मनाया, इसलिए मंदिर को हर्षद माता या हरसिद्धि माता कहा जाता है।
