Your Name and Gotra with the names of Pitra will be chanted during the Puja in Haridwar so that the souls of your ancestors can attain peace and you can receive their blessings.

You can do this Puja on the day of Shraddh Tithi of your ancestors. Suppose you want to perform Shradh for your ancestor whose Tithi is on Chaturthi, then you can do this Til Tarpan Puja on the day of Chaturthi. In addition to this, you can also perform Shradh of all your ancestors, known and unknown, on Sarva Pitru Moksha Amavasya.

First, book any package from the given packages on the puja page. Following this, you will receive a Google form from our end. Fill up this Google form giving details regarding your forefathers Name (for whose peace and liberation you want to perform this puja), your name or your family head’s name and Gotra.

Along with this, you will also find a list of different Tithis of Shradh in the form.

From the list, select your Pitru’s Shradh Tithi and click on the submit button.

On the selected tithi, Tarpan and Gauseva puja will be performed in your name.

Worshipping a cow has special significance in Hinduism. It is said that the devotees who serve the cow in addition to their parents, God is never disappointed with them and their houses are filled with happiness. Also by doing gauseva, one gets freedom from Pitra Dosh. Offering fodder along with drinking water to the cows during Shradh gives the same benefits as the benefits of performing Pitru Tarpan. Ancestors are pleased and gives blessings of ultimate happiness on such Devotees. As the cow is the abode of all the pilgrimages, by doing gauseva, devotees can get benefits equal to the benefits gained by worshipping all the pilgrimages.

Pitra Sukta Path is recited for the happiness and salvation of the ancestors. This is a very miraculous hymn. Devotees who are going through some stress and tension in life, who have frequent quarrels in the house, are constantly troubled by the worries related to children, such Devotees need to get blessings of their ancestors. Hence, in such a situation, getting Pitru Sukta recited during Shraddh is highly beneficial and fruitful. In Skanda Purana , the description of Pitru Sukta is found during Pitru Puja. This gives all the desired benefits in life.

First, a 'Sankalp' is performed by chanting the name and gotra of the main head of the family (preferably male). Then, a Sankalp will be performed by chanting the names of the 12 dead ancestors of the family. In case you don’t remember all of your ancestors’ names, Pandit ji will chant a holy name instead of their names.

Ganesh Pujan and Vishnu Pujan will take place.

A ritual will be performed in which six earthen pots (Kalash) representing six Gods (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Yamraj, Pret and reincarnation of Lord Vishnu) will be worshipped.

This is followed by the performance of 5 types of "Tarpan." Tarpan is performed by taking some Puja Samagri in the palm and then pouring them into a brass plate during which Mantras will be chanted by Pandit ji.

The first one is "Dev Tarpan"in which rice and water will be offered to the Lord. Then "Rishi Tarpan" is done in which barley(oats) and water will be offered to our dead sages. The third one is "Manushya Tarpan" in which barley(oats) and water will be offered to human beings. Then comes the "Yam Tarpan" in which sesame seeds and water will be offered to Yamraj. The final one is "Pitra Tarpan" in which sesame seeds, water, milk, ghee and honey will be offered to our dead ancestors.

This will be followed by the ritual of Pind Daan. There are 16 types of Pind in which 15 of them represent the Gods and the one represents our dead ancestors. The 'Pinds' are prepared from rice flour and Puja will be performed in front of them.

The final ritual is that of donation in which people donate food and clothes to Brahmans in the names of their dead ancestors.

Make sure you chant one of these two mantras while participating in Pitra Dosh Nivaran Puja and Shraddh in Ganga Ghat to pacify the souls of the departed ones

Brahman Bhojan is a ritual performed for the departed souls of ancestors. Brahman bhoj is done to satisfy the desires of the souls of our ancestors and let them rest in peace. Brahman Bhoj rituals help cleanse all the sins of our forefathers and help their souls to attain moksha. Also, the one who performs this ritual is said to earn good karma and is liberated from bad Karmas of past and present life.
