Description

The historic Pracheen Shiv Mandir is a beautiful temple situated in the middle of the market in the wide Rasta area of Jaipur city. The temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. The architecture of this temple has a glimpse of Rajasthani architecture and local culture. There are also four natural pools around this temple, in which the water is never empty. These kunds are the main water source for the visitors who visit the temple, perform Pujas such as Jalabhishek and Sawamani etc. The people of Jaipur have deep faith in Mahadev. It is believed that every wish sought from a true heart is fulfilled here. After the wish is fulfilled, devotees do consecration of the Shiva lingam or as a tribute, offer the Shivalinga with milk and ghee. Though this Shiva temple attracts a large number of devotees throughout the year but on the month of Sawan, long queues are held here to offer water and milk to the Shivalinga. On every Monday of Sawan month, the devotees queue in the line at 3 o'clock in the morning so that at the opening of the temple, one can consecrate the lingam.

ऐतिहासिक प्राचीन शिव मंदिर एक सुंदर मंदिर है जो जयपुर शहर में स्थित है। मंदिर भगवान शिव को समर्पित है। इस मंदिर की वास्तुकला में राजस्थानी वास्तुकला और स्थानीय संस्कृति की झलक मिलती है। इस मंदिर के चारों ओर चार प्राकृतिक कुंड भी हैं, जिनमें पानी कभी खाली नहीं होता है। ये कुंड मंदिर में आने वाले आगंतुकों के लिए मुख्य जल स्रोत हैं, जिसके माध्यम से जलाभिषेक पूजा की जाती है। जयपुर के लोगों में महादेव के प्रति गहरी आस्था है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि सच्चे मन से मांगी गई हर मनोकामना यहां पूरी होती है। मनोकामना पूरी होने के बाद, भक्त शिव लिंग का अभिषेक करते हैं या श्रद्धांजलि के रूप में, दूध और घी से शिव लिंग का अभिषेक करते हैं। वैसे तो यह शिव मंदिर साल भर बड़ी संख्या में भक्तों को आकर्षित करता है लेकिन सावन के महीने में यहां शिवलिंग पर जल चढ़ाने के लिए लंबी कतारें लगी रहती हैं। सावन महीने के प्रत्येक सोमवार को, भक्त रात्रि के 3 बजे कतार में खड़े होते हैं ताकि मंदिर के खुलते ही वह लिंगम का अभिषेक कर सके।

Temple Story

The Shivalinga bends according to the Sun. The Shivalinga located in the temple is unique throughout the country. It is claimed that this Shivalinga tilts according to the direction of the Sun every six months. Suryadev is Uttarayan (North) in six months and Dakshinayan (South) in six months. In the same way, this Shivling also tilts in the direction of the Sun.

शिवलिंग सूर्य के अनुसार झुकता है। मंदिर में स्थित शिवलिंग पूरे देश में अद्वितीय है। यह दावा किया जाता है कि यह शिवलिंग हर छह महीने में सूर्य की दिशा के अनुसार झुकता है। सूर्यदेव छह महीने में उत्तरायण और छह महीने में दक्षिणायन होते हैं। उसी तरह यह शिवलिंग भी सूर्य की दिशा में झुकता है।
