One such beautiful place in West Bengal's Belur Math which was founded by Swami Vivekananda. Situated on the Western banks of the Hooghly river, Belur Math is a pilgrimage centre that caters to devotees of all religious faiths. People from across the world visit this place to find peace, even if they don't belong to any religion. Belur Math is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, founded by Swami Vivekananda, the chief disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

बेलूर मठ आध्यात्मिक उत्थान और जागृति के लिए उत्तम स्थान हैं। इसकी स्थापना स्वामी विवेकानंद ने की थी। हुगली नदी के पश्चिमी तट पर स्थित बेलूर मठ एक तीर्थस्थल है जो सभी धार्मिक विश्वासों के भक्तों को आकर्षित करता है। दुनिया भर के लोग शांति पाने के लिए इस जगह पर जाते हैं, भले ही वे किसी भी धर्म के क्यों न हों। बेलूर मठ रामकृष्ण मिशन का मुख्यालय है, जिसकी स्थापना रामकृष्ण परमहंस के प्रमुख शिष्य स्वामी विवेकानंद ने की थी। अपने गुरु की शिक्षाओं से प्रेरणा लेते हुए, इस संगठन का निर्माण स्वामी विवेकानंद ने किया था, जो श्री रामकृष्ण के एक भक्त थे।

Temple Story

Taking inspiration from his Guru's teachings, this organization was built by Swami Vivekananda, who was an ardent devotee of Sri Ramakrishna. It is believed that Swami Vivekananda once went on a journey to various pilgrim sites across the nation with his fellow brothers. From there he got inspired and got the idea of building an institution to promote Sri Ramakrishna's teachings. The architectural structure of the institution is inspired by various religious centres across India. Soon after this trip, Swami left for the West to attend a conference, where he further got inspired by some of the European architectural marvels and started working on his mission once he got back to India.

ऐसा माना जाता है कि स्वामी विवेकानंद एक बार अपने साथी भाइयों के साथ राष्ट्र के विभिन्न तीर्थ स्थलों की यात्रा पर गए थे। वहाँ से वे प्रेरित हुए और श्री रामकृष्ण की शिक्षाओं को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक संस्था बनाने का विचार आया। संस्था की स्थापत्य संरचना भारत भर के विभिन्न धार्मिक केंद्रों से प्रेरित है। इस यात्रा के तुरंत बाद, स्वामी एक सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए पश्चिम की ओर रवाना हो गए, जहाँ उन्होंने यूरोपीय वास्तुकला से प्रेरित होकर भारत लौटने के पश्चात् अपने मिशन पर काम करना शुरू कर दिया।
